What I say (review): After being abandoned by her ex weeks before giving birth Marlene is devastated. 4 years later Luke, now a rich and successful rockstar is back and he wants Marlene and his daughter Nil. Marlene has worked hard to build a life for her and her daughter; she works hard and is dating dependable Finn who wants her to move to Paris with him.

Marlene is still drawn to bad boy Luke and finds it hard to move on from the love of her life. She knows Luke isn't the sensible option and is worried about Nil getting hurt in the crossfire.

Luke has a HUGE challenge ahead of him if he's going to convince Marlene he's changed and is worthy of her love and being in his daughter's life and he's gotta work quick if he wants to stop her from moving to France.

I had expected to dislike Luke because I was expected an arrogant player with a huge ego. Luke was none of these and at times he didn't even seem like a rockstar. I found the groupie bit a little unbelievable, but then perhaps I'm overly cynical.

I enjoyed the book (although would have liked to see a longer ending). I loved Marlene's Grandmother, she was hilarious and helped to both lighten the tense scenes and to move the action onwards.
